A Year In New York
by Amadeus Long
Continuing the theme of my 2016 photography book "A Year In London" where I visited every subway/tube/metro station in London and took a photo of the surrounding area.
A Year In New York follows the same template, I visited all of New York's 472 subway stations spanning Manhattan, Queens, The Bronx and Brooklyn, and immersed myself in the people, places and culture that make up the city's grand and beautifully diverse personality.
It's a book I'm incredibly proud of. I'm lucky to have had the opportunity to explore New York in the way that I did, to be able to capture an entire city and leave no stone unturned in the process. It's a book and a time in my life I'll always look back fondly upon.
Whether you like my style of photography or not is almost irrelevant, this is a good piece of work regardless of talent or artistry, whether the photos were taken by myself or by a monkey, it would still be a pleasing book. And that's what makes it special. It can't help but be interesting.
